Your mission partners

The team you actually get.

  • Josh is a solicitor and legal and business consultant with 10+ years of experience in corporate, commercial and finance — within private practice and in-house (UK and UAE).

He qualified at Travers Smith, a prestigious London Silver Circle law firm, and has board-level legal and entrepreneurial experience working in the UK and internationally.

Highlights include legal counsel within the investment team at Schroders' London HQ, consultant at MUFG Bank, a secondary school governor, an analyst and project consultant at Credit Suisse (via D2LT), and senior legal counsel for a large multinational organisation.

  • Luke is a data and AI compliance expert and strategist with 30+ years' experience helping SMEs and professionals unlock value from data while building trust and staying compliant.

He has held senior roles at British Land, Virgin Media and the EBRD, delivering large-scale data and analytics transformation. Most recently DPO & Head of Privacy and Data Governance at Correla, and Chief Compliance Officer at HOPE4.

He founded DC Harmonised and co-founded EnsoFlow, CTRL//SHIFT AI and Uncharted Summits, combining data architecture, analytics and AI strategy with hands-on leadership in privacy, GDPR and governance.

  • Indy is a commercial, IP and digital media lawyer with over 10 years' experience working inside fast-moving businesses.

She advises founders, agencies, brands and digital businesses on commercial contracts, intellectual property, advertising, data privacy, regulatory and digital risk — with particular expertise across media, talent, technology, gaming, AI and the creator economy.

Her experience spans start-ups, scale-ups and global media and technology organisations, including senior legal roles at ITV Studios, Footballco, PA Media and Rakuten Advertising.

  • Daniel is a dispute resolution solicitor with 10+ years of experience across private practice, in-house legal operations and regulatory compliance.

He built a broad civil litigation career across business disputes, personal injury, housing disputes, debt recovery and actions against the police, before moving into a specialist legal and intelligence role at the UK Home Office supporting investigations into organised crime.

Daniel then joined Lawhive as its founding legal hire, becoming Legal Director. Holding COLP and COFA responsibility, he helped scale the UK's first AI-native law firm through three funding rounds to a $685m valuation, growing its consultant solicitor network from zero to over 400 lawyers.

  • Grace has spent 9+ years in HR, helping employers handle the situations that keep business owners up at night: disciplinaries, redundancies, contract disputes, settlement agreements and the difficult conversations that come with running a team.

She works directly with business owners who don't have in-house HR support, giving practical, plain-English advice rather than jargon. Before founding her own consultancy, HR On Call, she held HR business partner and consultancy roles advising senior leadership on restructuring, TUPE and complex employee relations casework.

She also drafts bespoke contracts, policies and other HR documents tailored to the business.

  • Laurence is a commercially aware legal consultant with training across multiple areas of law and experience in risk and compliance developed at a Top 100 UK law firm.

Previously a governance and risk professional, he specialises in data protection, anti-money laundering, claims, complaints and professional regulatory compliance.

Trained as a civil and commercial mediator, Laurence resolves disputes before they reach litigation, and has built and launched a suite of legal technology products for lawyers and professionals.

  • Laura is an award-winning, qualified HR director specialising in employment law, talent acquisition and development, organisational development, employment relations and advocacy.

She was previously a director of a medium-sized accountancy practice, with 15+ years of private and non-profit sector HR experience, including at board level.

Winner of the HRi Awards 2023 (Emerging Talent) and two SME News Legal Awards 2024 — Best International Employment Law Services & Training Consultancy, and UK Legal Client Service Excellence.

  • Ian is an experienced business consultant, company director and legal professional — with a background in entrepreneurship and real estate in London.

For 11+ years he has worked in director and advisory roles.

Ian has founded or co-founded 8 businesses, advised hundreds of successful businesses and brands, and managed significant London and international real estate and business transactions and disputes.

Meet the founder

Hi, I’m Ian.

Director & Legal and Business ConsultantMBA, BSc (Hons), GDL

I want every director, risk-taker and innovator to have the legal cover that keeps them out of harm’s way.

Why

I’ve seen too many people face the devastating consequences of business when things go wrong — it’s damaging to individuals and to society.

What we do about it

We’re doing our bit to improve business success rates by offering high-quality accessible legal solutions, powered by tech and supported by leading legal professionals.

How I got here

“Since my 20s as an entrepreneur in London I’ve worked with countless solicitors and barristers — I get what it’s like hiring lawyers and spending money on legal services. I pivoted into the profession in 2018 to pursue my passion for law and helping directors navigate growth and trouble, and launched New Legal in 2022.”
